The Balade du Roi René invites you to rediscover the masterpieces of our world heritage. This year, the Apocalypse Tapestry, a large set of French medieval tapestries known for its size and powerful story, has been given a place of honour. This nocturnal visit by Destination Angers showcases several highlights of the historic centre with lights and entertainment, every Saturday night from 27 July to 17 August, from 8:30pm to midnight. You can start the evening in the place of your choice and roam freely...for free.
A trip through the city marked by stops in places full of history and lights will set the tempo for your summer evenings. Emblematic places such as the castle, Castle of Angers, Place Kennedy, St. Maurice Cathedral, street Toussaint, St. Martin’s Collegiate Church and the Museum of Fine Arts will welcome you warmly !
At nightfall, the walk ends at Kennedy square where the climax of the evening is an extraordinary view of Angers castle (as never seen before) and a free concert.
Come along and see for yourself !
